23rd May – Ballyclare 10k/5k
Alanah McCombe was First Lady home in the Ballyclare 5k race organised by Co. Antrim Harriers, with a fantastic time of 22.33. Andy Smyth also completed the 5k event in a time of 26.01. 12 athletes from the club competed in the 10k Ballyclare race, with Gillian Barnhill coming first in her age category.

16th May – Benone 10k Half Marathon
Six athletes from Seapark AC travelled to Benone Beach on Saturday to compete in the Born to Run Benone Half Marathon and 10k event. The half marathon covered a difficult hilly route rewarded with outstanding views across the Innishowen Peninsula in Donegal. The route for both half and 10k distances covered 4 miles of the stunning Benone Beach.
Results for Half Marathon Bobbie Irvine 1.46, Richard Hethrington 1.47, Angela McCormick 2.02, Karen Poag 2.08, Alison Welsh 2.19. Gillian Barnhill was second female in a time of 1.46. Philip Poag completed the 10k race in 50.38.

26th April – London Marathon
On Sunday 4 athletes from Seapark Ac were among the 38000 runners taking part in the largest ever London Marathon. Gillian Barnhill was first over the line for Seapark with an impressive time of 3:41, followed closely by Gary Connolly in 3:42. This was Richard Hetherington’s first ever marathon and he completed it in 3:55. Neill Harper (picture) crossed the line in 4:45, a new PB.

25th April – Jog Around the Bog
Seapark AC members Bobbie Irvine, Vivien Davidson, Carol Downey and Tony Barclay joined members of Jog Carrickfergus in Dungannon to take part in Guide Dogs NI Jog Around The Bog. This 5 mile race proved to be a fairly boggy course, but was enjoyed by all, with many of the Jog ladies completing their first ever race. Picking up their medals were Julie Kelly, Nicola Irvine, Alison Gill, Cecilia Milburn, Nicola Clawson, Louise Shanks, Lisa Gepp, Suzanne McConkey, Helena Perry and Rosemary Hutton.

19th April – Castleward and Armagh
The fabulous weekend weather was enjoyed by Seapark athletes taking part in races in Counties Down and Armagh. On Saturday runners travelled to Castleward for The Born to Run 10k and half marathon challenge. Times for the 10k race Neill Harper 57.46, Alison Welsh 1:02, Ann McCracken1:04 and Glenda Murray 1:09. Half Marathon results as follows: Gillian Barnhill was back on form after her recent Marathon Des Sables success with a time of 1:42.46,, Robert
Murray 1:42.47, Gary Connolly 1:44.36, Mark Welsh 1:45.57, Philip Poag 2:06.11, Karen Poag 2:06.22 and Julie Ann Mitchell 2:06.22.
